After successfully delivering offices in Melbourne and Sydney for an International Law Firm, the client tasked the SHAPE team with the expansion of their new high end fit out in Governor Phillip Tower. This space is located one of the most premium buildings in Sydney, surrounded by other tenants on the floors, both above and below.
SHAPE was engaged under an ECI arrangement, and worked diligently validating site conditions, assisting with design development & finalising the design, and continually updating the project cost plan and programme to suit.
The scope of works included the demolition and fitout across two levels including, a front of house areas consisting of client meeting rooms, client refreshments areas, a partner lounge, commercial kitchen, reception area with an interconnecting stair leading to a breakout kitchen and event area, and back of house areas including bespoke workstations, collaborative meeting rooms, offices and additional refreshment areas.
SHAPE adopted an early and proactive approach, incorporating regular defect inspections with all key stakeholders. This included continuous, early-stage quality control led by the site team. SHAPE’s active participation during the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase contributed to the successful delivery of the Design & Construct (D&C) lump sum project, completed on time, within budget, and with minimal variations.
